Overwatch 2 Leak Surfaces online ahead of BlizzCon 2021

A new Overwatch 2 leak has surfaced online ahead of BlizzCon 2021, and the leak is coming the way of a prominent and reputable Overwatch leaker. Blizzard has already confirmed that the highly anticipated sequel to BlizzCon 2021 will be and that it will have updates to share, but at this point it hasn’t given a glimpse of what fans can expect. With the game not coming out this year, it’s safe to assume we won’t be getting a release date, but at this point, that’s probably the only safe assumption we can make about the sequel and BlizzCon presence this year.

That said, at just the right time, Overwatch leaker Subway recently took to Twitter to do what Blizzard won’t do: create expectations. And Metro warns about this Overwatch fans to lower their expectations, noting that this will be more or less a progress report on the game, and nothing more.

According to Metro, new heroes will be revealed, and it sounds like this will be the highlight. The leaker also notes that “free-to-play is in the works,” but it probably won’t be revealed at BlizzCon.

Metro also briefly discusses the first game, which it says is dead. And for that purpose he says he does not expect new ones Overwatch hero at any time.

Beyond Overwatch 2, Metro is also teasing the rumor Diablo 2 remaster will finally be revealed too.

Unfortunately, this is where the leak ends, and at this point there is no indication that more details will be shared before the event. That said, if more details come up, we’ll be sure to update the story accordingly. In the meantime, take everything here with a grain of salt. While the source in question has proven reliable in the past, nothing here is official and can be changed.
