Osvaldo Martínez left Liga MX as one of the most winning foreigners with five titles
After a 12-year career in Mexican football, Osvaldo Martínez retired from Liga MX as one of the most winning foreign soccer players in the history of Mexican soccer.
Through his Instagram account, the footballer released a message of thanks after completing his long career in Mexico and displaying his obtained titles and images from each of the various clubs he has been a part of.
“Today, after 12 years, I say goodbye to this beautiful country where I spend a large part of my life, a country where I enjoy every minute and where they made me feel at home, they were beautiful years with friends and great professionals who play football. and live, today I have to leave for new projects outside the country and I couldn’t leave without first thanking you all, for all the love, strength, advice and everything you gave me all these years that allowed me to grow professionally and as a person he took me to mexico and all his people in my heart, i will never forget living so many moments, thank you for this beautiful walk, thank you very much. Osvaldo Martínez came to Mexican football with the Monterrey team in 2009, later shaping a long career in the MX League by wearing the shirts of five more teams: Atlante, América, Santos Laguna, Atlas and Puebla.
‘Osvaldito’ has established itself as one of the most winning elements in all history in Liga MX, with five Liga MX titles, three Concacaf Champions League championships and an Interliga title.
In his first stage in Mexican football, with the Monterrey team, he won two Liga MX titles, in addition to a Concacaf Champions League and an Interliga.
Later he emigrated to Heel América, a team with which he won two Liga MX titles and also two titles in the Concacaf Champions League, with the azulcrema team being the team with which he won the most titles in Mexico.
In addition to the titles with América and Monterrey, Martínez added another title with the Santos Laguna team by taking the MX League in the 2018 Clausura tournament.
The veteran Guarani midfielder ranks second as the most winning foreigner in Liga MX with five titles, equal to Miguel Marín, Hernán Cristante, Antonio Naelson, Leandro Augusto and Damián Álvarez.
