Orlando Magic trades Aaron Gordon to Denver Nuggets

The Orlando Magic and the Denver Nuggets have agreed a deal to forward Aaron Gordon to Denver, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

In return, Gary Harris, RJ Hampton and a first round pick will go to the Magic, as well as a protected first round for 2025, according to sources.

Orlando will also involve Gary Clark in the deal, sources told Wojnarowski.

The Magic has been very active before the trade deadline, moving center Nikola Vucevic to the Chicago Bulls and sending Guard Evan Fournier to the Boston Celtics.

Gordon, 25, acknowledged on Tuesday that he had asked Orlando for a trade. He said he made the request out of “frustration” with the team over several issues.

“There were times when I expressed my frustration to management,” Gordon told reporters. Frustration with losses, injuries, the way we’ve played and how many losses have accumulated over the years. So I’d say it’s just my boiling frustration … I think a lot of people share that feeling with me, of frustration “.

Gordon was selected by the Magic with the fourth overall pick in the 2014 Draft. Since Gordon was selected before the 2014-15 season, the Magic have a combined record of 203-322, qualifying only twice for the playoffs and they were eliminated in the first round each time.

Gordon has scored an average of 14.7 points and 6.8 rebounds per game this season.

ESPN’s Nick Friedell contributed to this report.
