The OnePlus Watch may not be the groundbreaking smartwatch everyone had hoped for, but can I interest you in these OnePlus gaming triggers that the company’s CEO and (lately) one-man marketeer Pete Lau just teased?
In a tweet this morningLau shared two images of the gaming trigger accessory that seemingly works by clicking a smartphone. These offer smartphone shoulder buttons – suitable for many first-person shooters such as PUBG, Call of Duty: Mobile, or Fortnite, or racing or fighting games.
“We designed the OnePlus gaming triggers to be solid, responsive, pleasantly clicky and, yes, beautiful,” Lau tweeted. “We’ve also made them work with many other phones because the best product design is one that gives you the freedom to make your own choices.”
Aside from a few images and Lau’s tweet, we don’t know anything else about the add-on gaming triggers. How many will they be? What games do they work with? Is this even going to produce a product or just tease another OnePlus concept? The OnePlus gaming triggers were originally teased at the OnePlus 9 series launch event, but fell off our radar because everyone was so focused on the 9 Pro’s Hasselblad camera.
“For you gamers, we’re also introducing a brand new OnePlus gaming trigger with capacitive sensor technology,” said Ryan Fenwick, OnePlus Head of Global Corporate Communications. Just click on one or both triggers to upgrade your mobile gaming experience.

I hope it is real, because I have become very jealous of the many gaming phones like the Redmagic 6 or the ROG Phone 5 that have built-in touch trigger buttons.
We’ve contacted OnePlus for more information. Playing games with claw hands is so dumb and stupid.
