One death after shooting at the Las Vegas apartment complex

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) – Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a shooting that took place around 8:30 p.m. Monday in an apartment complex near Charleston and Lamb Boulevards.

Police say they found an 18-year-old female shot upon arrival, she was transported to the UMC where she died.

It is believed that a group of youths and other young people were listening to music in a car when someone in the backseat had a gun and hit the 18-year-old victim.

The three people in the backseat fled, the other two who were in the car are talking to the police.

There have been no arrests at this time.

LVMPD says they are looking for 1 black female believed to be 18-19 years old and 2 black male juveniles (late teens).

The police are currently unsure whether this was accidentally shot or done on purpose.

In total there were 6 people in the car when the shooting took place.

Authorities say they think they were all acquaintances from school.
