GLENDALE, AZ – One person is dead and two others injured after a ghost crash in the West Valley.
The crash happened early Monday morning along Loop 101 near Cardinals Way in Glendale.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the driver of the ghost vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The passenger was taken to hospital and pronounced dead. Both occupants of the ghost vehicle were women, DPS said on the spot.
The driver of the vehicle that was hit by the wrong-way driver, identified only as a man, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Impairments are being examined as a factor in the crash.
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the roadway had been shut down for several hours, but reopened around 6 a.m.
