Jorge “Chatón” Enríquez reported that he had been the victim of a crime as he sustained a robbery in his house this morning while he and his family were away.
Through his social networks, the current player of the Venados de Mérida of the Liga de Expansión MX noted that things of monetary and sentimental value were being stolen, including: the Olympic gold medal he won at the 2012 London Olympics.
Sad tomorrow, after spending an hour with my family and returning home. Realizing that your house is upside down and things of monetary value but much more sentimental value have been stolen is a painful thing. Today I thank God that my family is good.

Among those things, a medal from another Olympian that a collector is sure to buy and wear in their display cases. But I know the value is not in the coin if not in the lived memories! I bless the people who broke into my house and stole nothing but things!

The footballer thanked his followers for their support and assured that he would act in accordance with the law in the hope of recovering some of what was stolen.
Only material things … but they can never steal my belief that we are people interested in serving others! Courage and of course they will act as the law dictates! regards
