Ohio State moves up several places in ESPN’s latest CBB Power Rankings

The climb continues for the Ohio State basketball team. Just outside the top 25 a few weeks ago, most polls and pundits now have the Buckeyes in the top five in the country and possibly closer to a No. 1 seed if things continue.

Almost every opinion maker out there now has the Buckeyes among the elite teams in the country, and there’s one we’ve been following for quite some time. . Last week, ESPN’s Jeff Borzello had OSU at number 9 in his weekly power rankings, which was good in itself. But now, after a road win against Iowa, coupled with some front team losses, he has now counted Ohio State as one of the nation’s elite teams.

We must of course warn that there is still plenty of season to go, but there is no doubt that the Buckeyes will be seeded quite high in the NCAA tournament at this point wherever and whenever it is played.

Where has Borzello catapulted OSU since last week? And why? We are glad you ask.
