Ohio State basketball makes a giant leap in Joe Lunardi’s bracesology

Everyone is currently praising the Ohio state basketball team. From the official national polls (that still don’t mean much), to opinion polls, to internet hits, the Buckeyes impress many would-be pundits with their run of six wins in seven games in the big, bad Big Ten.

As we get closer and closer to the regular season’s long run, it feels like a good time to socialize with some of the bracketologists to see where they have Buckeyes in the NCAA field should the season end today. One of the most popular, of course, is ESPN’s Joe Lunardi and his famous Bracketology.

And while he had OSU around a No. 5 seed early in the season, he now has the Buckeyes all the way to a No. 2 seed in his latest look at his NCAA Tournament projections.

Now it’s even harder to figure out where the Bucks fit into the big puzzle that is this year’s tournament as all the games are played in and around Indianapolis because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but right now he has Ohio State faced No. 15 seeds Louisiana in the first round.

See, this thing will change a thousand times from here to March, but right now the Buckeyes look like an improving couple playing their best ball. Let’s hope it stays that way. If so, you’ll see even more positive NCAA Tournament projections to follow.
