Both officials reported on the talks through their Twitter accounts.
“A meeting with Mr. Juan González, Director of the Western Hemisphere (of the US government), had a very productive conversation about the common agenda of our countries,” Brolo wrote on his Twitter account.

However, he did not provide further details about the meeting.
For his part, the Guatemalan foreign minister met with Roberta Jacobson, special envoy to Mexico and the Northern Triangle of Central America, and Juan González.
“We indicate the progress that has been made in Honduras in recent years in terms of security and economic development,” said Rosales.
As of this date, it is not known whether these U.S. officials received a representative from El Salvador’s State Department.
What has emerged in recent weeks, according to media publications in the United States, is that Nayib Bukele, President of El Salvador, traveled to Washington the first week of February and he sought to meet with officials of the administration of Biden, but none of them would receive him.
The president denied for days after seeking meetings with Biden’s government; However, other sources close to the White House confirmed to various media outlets that the meetings were sought but were not accepted.
Bukele even tried to disqualify newspaper reports reporting his visit to Washington and accused international Associated Press (AP) journalist Joshua Goodman of lying.
