The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have released a list of stores and pharmacies that will distribute COVID-19 vaccines, making getting a vaccine for the general public much easier. These sites will still need to follow their national guidelines for triage and are eligible for a vaccine.

More details on vaccine distribution

According to the CDC, the above list is for retail pharmacies participating in the federal program and may not include partners of the state program. The exact stores participating may vary from province to province or state to state. The stores mentioned above can participate in the program from 8 February.

For example, for CVS, you must register on the store’s website for an appointment, and you must qualify for your state’s priority category. Not all CVS locations will provide COVID-19 vaccines. Those who are will start providing vaccines starting Feb. 11.

In contrast, HEB, also listed by the CDC, currently notes that it only provides vaccinations to eligible clients who are health professionals, residents of long-term care facilities, 65 or older, or 18 years old with chronic conditions. Even if you qualify, many locations may not have seats available due to limited supply.
