“I didn’t know if I would make it to the end of that day alive,” Ocasio-Cortez said in a video on her Instagram account. “Not just in a general sense, but in a very, very specific sense.”
Ocasio-Cortez said she could not reveal details of the meeting “due to security concerns,” but assured followers “I thought I was going to die.”

The breach forced lawmakers to go into hiding and delay the proceedings for several hours before police could evacuate the building. Federal law enforcement officials have said they believe the riots were organized online by far-right extremist groups with the aim of capturing or killing leading lawmakers among some.
Several protesters were seen in the Capitol wearing zippers, which are sometimes used in place of handcuffs.
House Democrats have introduced a single article on impeachment against Trump in the wake of the attack, accusing him of “inciting insurgency” and calling his supporters to commit violence against them.
Speaking just hours before the riots began, Trump urged his supporters to march to Congress and show “strength” as they challenge the Electoral College certification process.
