Galatasaray want to get rid of Radamel Falcao but no club wants to sign him, neither in Europe nor in South America.
His high salary and injury record, with five in the past 18 months, has deterred a number of potential suitors.
River Plate were among the newest clubs to be connected, with ESPN saying they had contacted the Colombian forward, but declined any interest.
“Falcao is a very important brand for us and he has had an unfortunate period for world football”, Abdurrahim Albayrak, vice president of Galatasaray, insisted.
“Now we are waiting for his injury to be over.
“For now there are no official offers, but when they come, we will first share them with our coach and then decide how to go about it. Falcao is a very valuable footballer to us.”
