No grounds for arrest against man allegedly killing his partner in Gurabo

Judge Evyanne M. Mártir Hernádez set no grounds for arrest for the first-degree murder of Dennis A. Rivera Aponte, 38, who was arrested by police for allegedly authoring the murder of his partner, Ileana Rodríguez Félix, 35 years.

However, Rivera Aponte was bailed for $ 20,000 when he established the reason for providing false information to authorities.

According to the police report, a call was made via the 9-1-1 emergency system on Friday about an accident with a fixed object that occurred at kilometer 5.9 of the PR-931 highway, located in the Navarro district of Gurabo. ..

When agents from the Caguas Highway and Highway Patrol Division arrived, they found the lifeless body of Rodríguez Félix, 35, a resident of Caguas, in the gray 2007 Mitsubishi Endeavor car.

Rivera Aponte claimed the woman had died as a result of the crash, but authorities realized the victim was suffering from head trauma incompatible with accidental injuries and activated the protocol with the Caguas Homicide Division.

Rodríguez Félix’s body was transferred to the Institute of Forensic Sciences, which will determine the cause of death.

Agent Joelys Vicente assigned to the Homicide Division of the Caguas Area Criminal Investigation Corps, along with prosecutors Maribel Mojica, Jamilet Samalot, and staff from the Institute of Forensic Sciences, took charge of the investigation.
