Nintendo Switch Pro Rumor Surfaces online with release date information

A new rumor about the Nintendo Switch Pro has surfaced online and may shed light on the console’s release date. We’ve been hearing rumors and reports about a new, more powerful Nintendo Switch for over a year now. Over time, this console has been referred to as the Nintendo Switch Pro, but more recently, Super Nintendo Switch has also been thrown around. Whatever the console’s name will be, it remains to be seen, but it’s increasingly clear that Nintendo is working on a new Nintendo Switch model. After all, where there is so much smoke, there is fire.

The latest rumor comes down the road from Nintendo leaker NateDrake, who was one of the first to spend the console’s existence when rumors and reports about the machine were scarce. Speaking of the console, the leaker noted that they think the console will be announced this fiscal year, but the console itself could be delayed until 2022, suggesting the plan was once to release it this year.

“I think it will be announced next fiscal year,” said the leaker. “It was planned to release this year, but I suspect it will be delayed until 2022. Delays can and will remain a changing variable as we work out when we will hear about it and see it.”

In addition to dropping some info on the console’s release, the leaker also claimed that the Nintendo Switch Pro DLSS will be based on the hardware, that is, it won’t be through the dock, and this is great news for those who prefer handheld gaming.

Sadly, the leaker didn’t reveal much else about the console, at least consequently. And what is being disclosed must of course be taken with some restraint. While many consider the source to be reliable, this doesn’t change the fact that everything here is not official. Plus, even if it’s all 100 percent accurate, it might not stay that way, as everything is subject to change. As for Nintendo, it has not responded to this and will not, however, if we update the story for some reason.
