A few controversial Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite games have been canceled after Nintendo reportedly declined their release, despite having previously approved both games for release on the pair of consoles. That said, it’s unclear at this point why Nintendo decided not to allow the pair of games, but it could have something to do with the fact that their sequel was recently banned by Steam, or at least that’s what the producer of the game thinks.
On Twitter, Richard La Ruina, producer of Super Seducer: How to Talk to Girls and Super Seducer 2: Advanced seduction tactics, announced that both games are no longer coming to the Switch and Switch Lite.
In addition, the producer reveals that the games have been fully ported and have already gone through a round of Q&A. Furthermore, Nintendo would have said they would allow both games on the Switch and Switch Lite if the games got the correct ratings.
Super Seducer 1 & 2 is not coming to Switch, “La Ruina wrote on Twitter.” Games were fully ported and passed one round of QA. We checked initially and Nintendo said they would publish if we got the correct ratings. I’m not too surprised and don’t blame Nintendo – was probably due to Steam and concerns about controversy. “

Now it’s worth noting that everything above was shared on April 1, leaving the door open to the possibility that this is just an April Fool’s joke. That said, if this were the case, you’d assume a follow-up by noting that so much would have already been given. Furthermore, this would not be the first time that the release of the series has been denied. Sony blocked the release of the first game on PS4 and as mentioned above, Steam recently declined the third entry, Super Seducer 3, after releasing the previous two games on the platform.
Now take everything here with a grain of salt. As for Nintendo, they have not responded to the claim. If this changes, or if La Ruina continues, we’ll be sure to update the story accordingly. In the meantime, for more coverage on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite, click here.
