Nintendo seems to have already shut down the Super Mario Maker bookmarks website

When Mario’s 35th anniversary comes to a close next week, the online services come up Super Mario Maker on the Wii U also end – meaning that players can no longer upload their own courses.

As you may recall, Super Mario Maker’s Bookmark website also closed on March 31. It seems Nintendo pulled the plug from the web service ahead of schedule.

Super Mario Maker fan and Nintendo Life reader Nintendo_Thumb notes how the “website went offline four days earlier” and has been offline since at least March 26th. The website says the “service is currently unavailable” and now shows a 503 error.

So if you wanted to visit the site one last time before it was shut down, it seems to you power have bad luck. Here’s the full list of affected Super Mario Maker services:

Services being discontinued (Super Mario Maker – Wii U)

  • Ability to upload courses in Super Mario Maker for Wii U
  • The Super Mario Maker Bookmark website
    As a result, the following functions within the software’s course world will also be unavailable:
    • Updating the ranking of courses I liked
    • Find your bookmarked courses
