It is official, Splatoon 3 – whether you’re ready or not, will arrive on Nintendo Switch next year.
If you’ve read the lore of the third game, you already know that it is set in a new region called Splatlands – a harsh, desolate environment. In the first teaser trailer for the game, we also got a look at Splatsville, the “city of chaos”.
According to a job posting on Nintendo’s Japanese website (via Nintendo dataminer Oatmeal Dome), the company is currently looking for a level designer to renovate “existing” stages.
OatmealDome speculates how this could possibly mean phases from the original Splatoon and Splatoon 2 come back. In addition, the level designer must also adjust levels, weapons and game modes, place stage objects by game mode, and balance weapon parameter data.
How would you feel about the return of previous stages in Splatoon 3? Which stages would you like to see make a comeback? Share your thoughts below.
