Tyler “Ninja” Blevins is undoubtedly one of the most popular Fortnite streamers in the world since the popular Battle Royale game launched a few years ago. However, Blevins now seems to be reaching his wits with the game if things don’t start to change in the short term.
The problem that Blevins has Fortnite comes less with the game itself and more with its players. Over the past few days, Blevins has fallen victim to multiple stream sniping attempts from a number of players. If you are not familiar with this term, it essentially means people playing Fortnite around the world will compete with Ninja and use his stream as a reference point to know where he is in the game. From here they will track him down and kill him if he is least aware of it. It’s essentially a modern iteration of screen-peaking split-screen multiplayer games from the past, except that Blevins himself can’t screen-peaking in return.
Blevins said he believes the majority of players who do this will bring him in Fortnite are just children looking for influence. “They’re the same kids, bro. Get out of my game. Get away from me. You don’t prove anything by going into a damn game and running up to someone, and if you know, they’re in a fight. With someone they f *** ing kills, “Blevins said frustrated on a recent stream.” Good for you, man. Get your f *** ing clip [and] send it to your friends. You killed Ninja. I haven’t played the game forever. I don’t play it anymore. I’ll be back and I’ll still kill almost all of you idiots. “
Blevins went on to say that the only thing accomplished with this is making the game that much worse to play. He even went so far as to say he might stop playing Fortnite altogether, at least when they are underway. “All they do is harm the game because I’m going to play it. I’m not going to stream it,” he said.
Although there is a good chance that Blevins will continue to play Fortnite in the future on stream, it’s hard to deny that stream sniping has definitely caused him to stream the game less than it used to. Over the past year, Blevins probably has a lot more of it Appreciation Then something else. It remains to be seen what Blevins decides to do next, but in all likelihood, the odds are he’s streaming Fortnite as much as he did a few years ago seems almost gone.
