The 51-year-old actress gushed about her wife during a performance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday, explaining that the couple’s wedding in August 2020 was not a coming-out moment.
“A lot of people say,” Oh, you got out! ” and I say, “Well, where from?” You know what I mean? I was nowhere to get out. I didn’t lead a sexually oppressed life when I was married to men, I just loved them when I loved them. And now I love her, ”she said.

The Masked Singer’s host also revealed that the couple had been friends for years, long before divorcing her second husband Jay Tucker in March.
But it was a particular dinner they shared when Niecy was single, which made her re-evaluate her feelings for her new husband.
‘We were probably friends for about four and a half years. I was already divorced and we were still friends, and we were going to eat crabs, ”she explained.
