New update of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla DLC has got fans excited

A new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla DLC update has fans of the game on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC and Google Stadia game excited. The promising update comes on the back of fan backlash over the game’s microtransactions, and this backlash took offense not only because of the number of microtransactions in the game, but also how they were added and amplified before the game got the right DLC has released. That said, while Ubisoft is silent on that Valhalla’s DLC, this has changed recently.

During its recent earnings call with investors, Ubisoft reiterated its commitment to add to the cross gene Assassin’s Creed game via DLC. In fact, Ubisoft teased that during the conversation Valhalla will have both a “stronger and longer post-launch program”.

Unfortunately, this is where the details end. Not only did Ubisoft decline to disclose details about the DLC, but there is currently no word on when more details will be shared.

That said, if Valhalla will really have a “stronger and longer post-launch program” as Ubisoft says, it should mean it will have at least two extensions, because this is what Assassin’s Creed Odyssey had. In addition, Ubisoft has also added to Odyssey with new features, quests, and a ton of other free content that not only supported the pair of premium expansions, but kept players entertained in between.

In an era where many single-player games are neglecting the release of expansions and DLC, Odyssey had great post-launch support that earned it high praise. And so the fact that Valhalla will – supposedly – have all this and more Assassin’s Creed fans excited. That said, details on all of this DLC are not available at this time.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. For more coverage on this and all things gaming – including all the latest news, rumors, reports and leaks – click here or check out the relevant links below:
