Hoping to buy an Xbox Series X before the end of the year? I have bad news for you. Despite its debut on November 10, the next-gen console has been virtually impossible to find ever since. Yes, a few retailers have had some stock declines over the past four weeks, but the meager restocking was by no means enough to meet demand, especially when regular users had to compete with bots and resellers.

Currently, there is nowhere to stock up, both due to insatiable consumer demand and the fact that resellers beat the average consumer. We’ll keep an eye on Twitter and other news sources and keep you updated on what retailers like Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, GameStop and Target are planning. Still, it’s best to keep our expectations under control: Microsoft confirmed that on November 16 Xbox stock could be tight until April 2021.
What follows is a list of the most important retailers selling the Xbox Series X. Our advice is to look for the $ 500 retail price and avoid those expensive shopping bundles (which include external controllers, accessories, and games).
Xbox Series X: Check the stock replenishment
Best Buy was the last retailer to return in the September pre-order days, but is now ready for your Xbox Series X purchase if stock permits.
Amazon sells the Xbox Series X and the cheaper Series S from the same product page.
GameStop had touted “Very limited number of Xbox Series X and S console bundles for sale,” but currently sold out.
Walmart does a good job of noting availability windows for PS5 and Xbox Twitter feed. You may also want to visit the store’s Xbox landing page for both new consoles.
