New MLB Proposal Includes Universal Designated Hitter

The headquarters of the MLB together with the team owners on Sunday afternoon issued a statement on new regulations for the 2021 campaign in the Major leagues, where it is also reported that we will have the batter again designated universal.

Following a report posted by Tim Brown of Yahoo Sports on his official Twitter account, more details about the letter from the MLB already players union they kept coming after the first report was published, a decision debated by the players’ union by its team body.

The MLB in his letter to the players’ union of the Major leagues, indicated that the 2021 campaign would be 154 games in the regular season, in addition to full salaries for the players, expanded the playoffs to a total of 14 sets in the post season, and strongly undecided to have the batter again designated universal.

Initially, the proposal is from the MLB including a one-month delay for the regular season, which would then begin in May, with the playoffs being expanded by a total of 14 teams, making 16 teams’ postseason decisions Major leagues as in the past year of 2020.
