SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials announced an additional 161 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday. According to the State Department of Health, the most recent cases are:

The Department of Health reported three additional deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19 on Tuesday:
A man in his forties from McKinley County. The person was hospitalized with underlying conditions.
A woman in her sixties from McKinley County. The individual had underlying conditions.
A woman in her sixties from Santa Fe County. The person was hospitalized with underlying conditions.
The deaths of New Mexico residents related to COVID-19 is now 4,010.

The Department of Health has discovered community spread in the state of New Mexico and is investigating cases with no known exposure. The agency reports that given the contagious nature of the virus, it is likely that other residents are infected, but have not yet tested or confirmed positive. To that end all New Mexicans have been instructed to stay at home, except for trips that are absolutely necessary for health, safety and well-being.
