A new Hogwarts Legacy update – or more specifically, a new vacancy at WB Games for Hogwarts Legacy – may shed light on the release date of the Harry Potter game in development for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox series consoles. At the time of release, WB Games, the publisher behind the game, is hiring an Associate Manager for Marketing and a Submissions Specialist, and this in turn suggests that the game’s recent slowdown may not be very substantial.
Until January 13 Hogwarts Legacy would be released sometime this year. Now it is scheduled to release sometime in 2022. That said, it looks like it will appear in the first half of the year rather than the second half, or at least that’s what a fair bit of new speculation based on the above job openings suggests.
On Twitter, GWWs James Sigfield not only marked the two vacancies, but also noted what they could not do alone Hogwarts Legacy, but Gotham KnightsFor the former, the vacancies seemingly suggest the delay isn’t great if WB Games is already preparing marketing for the title. For now, the openings do not confirm this, not at all, but it is a reasonable conclusion to draw based on the information.
At the time of publication, WB Games has not commented on this, and it is unlikely that it will, as it almost never comments on speculation. That said, if the job openings are any indication of something, then we need to hear more about it Hogwarts Legacy rather now than never.
