Nevada Highway Patrol identifies drivers in deadly ghost crash near Moapa Valley

MOAPA VALLEY (KTNV) – The Nevada Highway Patrol has identified the two drivers involved in a deadly ghost crash on Interstate 15 near Moapa Valley on Thursday around 9:30 PM.

According to the agency, a Toyota Tacoma driven by 39-year-old Rayanne May Walters of Logandale was driving the wrong way on I-15.

Troopers say the pickup truck was heading north on the south carriageway near Mile Marker 101 in Clark County (near Moapa Valley) at the same time that a Mercedes Sprinter van was heading south.

The driver of the van has been identified by authorities as 30-year-old Dylan Jeffrey Hazelhurst from Grand Junction, Colorado.

The two vehicles collided head-on. Both drivers were pronounced dead on the spot.

The crash is still under investigation.
