Necaxa denies possible sale of the club to Red Bull

Two sources assured ESPN that there are no negotiations about a possible sale of the hydrocálido club

Two sources close to Necaxa at ESPN assured that negotiations with Red Bull are false, after versions that indicated conversations between the club of Liga BBVA MX and the Austrian-based beverage company.

The Red Bull brand is present in the football world within the Bundesliga MLSHowever, as well as Austria and Brazil, for which rumors of a possible third team in the Americas began, sources within the institution confirmed that negotiations are not going on.

Incidentally, the Austrian company is also part of Formula 1 in addition to its football teams Red Bull Racing Team, who recently signed the Mexican pilot Sergio ‘Checo’ Pérez to mate with the Dutch Max Verstappen.

In 2014, a group of investors led by Ernesto Tinajero and Guillermo Cantú finalized the agreement with Televisa to acquire the equipment, after the transaction had been agreed months ago but had to be approved by the Federal Telecommunications Institute.

Since that new stage, the Hidrorayos, who were in the defunct Ascent MX, climbed to the maximum circuit in the 2015-16 season and have won the Clausura MX Cup 2018, as well as the MX Super Cup of the 2017-18 campaign.
