The 2021 NBA All-Star Game will be held on Sunday, March 7 in Atlanta. But because of COVID-19, a weekend of events is compressed into one night – the skill challenge and 3-point match take place in the pregame, while the dunk match acts as the halftime show.
All-Star votes started January 28 and All-Star starters – determined by fan vote (which accounts for 50% of the vote), media vote (25%) and player vote (25%) – were announced. 18 on TNT. The reserves – which will be voted on by the NBA coaches – were announced on TNT on Tuesday.
Following his thrilling debut in last season’s All-Star Game in Chicago, the “Elam Ending” will return. So are captains, with the Brooklyn Nets’ Kevin Durant and Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James – the main fans’ voices at their respective conferences – making their selections for the State Farm Arena showdown.
