One of the most popular prop bets probably won’t be available on Super Bowl Sunday.
To Florida reporter Zach Maskavich included the national anthem rehearsal from outside Raymond James Stadium, legal sports books were forced to adapt.
While betting on the length of the national anthem is not legal in US sportsbooks, PointsBet offered the bet in Australia. However, it was removed from the board with the intention of putting on a new song. But in the end, PointsBet decided not to.
PointsBet in the United States, which would be offering an in-game prop compared to the length of the anthem, has also put that idea aside.
Illegal sportsbooks are always taking action regarding the novelty support, but have also started to take the option off the board. Leaks are not uncommon for these types of bets, which is one of the reasons why they are not offered as a regular option in legal markets. To be legal in the United States and approved by gambling committees, it must be offered at a different prop.
The propeller had been listed somewhere between 1:57 and 1:59 for quite some time. When the recording of the rehearsal at the stadium revealed a time of 2:16, it threw everything out and made the said rule moot.
In recent years, the line has changed based on rumors, but the actual recording is more than just rumors.
The anthem will be performed by Jazmine Sullivan and Eric Church.
