NASA’s Perseverance Rover is heading to Mars

NASA, the US space agency, has released a dramatic video showing how the Perseverance Mars Rover is expected to complete its journey to the Red Planet on February 18, 2021.

The rover was launched last July. The nearly $ 2.5 billion mission is looking for evidence of ancient life.

The rover will collect rock and dust samples in sealed tubes that will be returned to Earth on a future voyage in 2031.

One of the most complex maneuvers in Perseverance’s journey will be what scientists call the “seven minutes of terror,” the critical time to complete the landing phase.

This project will also test oxygen production in the atmosphere of Mars and explore the possibility that humans will one day live on Mars.
