When we humans inhabit Mars, we should always wear space suits. Unfortunately, the thickest parka still wouldn’t protect you. The average temperature on Earth is 13.8 degrees Celsius, which is still vastly warmer than the average temperature of Mars, which is -62.7 degrees Celsius. Although the atmospheric pressure on Mars varies, you still need a spacesuit that can put pressure on the body and keep your white blood cells in place. Additionally, Mars’ gravity is weaker than Earth’s, which means your walking speed will be slower on the red planet. Definitely, a lot to get used to!
As for nutrition, our food source should come from the bottom of the planet. Interestingly enough, scientists believe growing crops such as potatoes, beans and asparagus is possible on Mars!
Shelter for humans should be built using Habitat 3D printers. Marsha, a prototype vertical pod created by the AI SpaceFactory team for the competition held by NASA in 2019, could be a viable human habitat.

If the Ingenuity Mars helicopter can pass the flight tests, the acquired data or air measurements can be used to support future explorations. Soon, these future astronauts’ journeys will bring us closer to understanding much more about life on the red planet. Can you imagine starting space travel in your lifetime?
