Large companies are adapting to the new era, to the new rules of society and one of the sectors that has seen the most changes, is toys, in an effort to avoid any controversy and gender discrimination, for which Hasbro branded the Mister potato head.
Mr. Potato‘is one of the company’s showpieces and after more than 70 years, the brand will be renamed, according to the company’s announcement and from now on it will only Potato head erasing the ‘Mister’ or ‘Lord’.

Toys as such remain Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, only the brand and logo show the ‘Sir ‘, so that it is gender neutral.
“The culture has evolved. Children want to be able to play out their own experiences. The way the brand exists today, with the ‘Mr.’ and the ‘madam’, is restrictive when it comes to both gender identity and family structure, ”she said. This change is due to Hasbro strives to be more inclusive and to eliminate traditional gender norms, without the children being able to limit their freedom.
