Sax was one of the founders of La Maldita Vecindad three decades ago and worked hard to make the band a reference in the Latin American rock scene.

He distinguished himself with songs like Pachuco and his innovative mixes of rock, ska, reggae, punk and even bolero and danzón.

The musician started his career at the age of 11 and from then on he showed his talent as a saxophonist and clarinetist in high school when he was part of the Youth Orchestra.

The Castro Brothers maintained their peak moment for three decades: the 60s, 70s and 80s.

Arturo maintained a romantic relationship with Olga Breeskin for many years, a romance that was very popular in the artistic world.

Last year he married Rosa Yolanda, who has been his girlfriend for the past 40 years.

Born in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, he showed his love and taste for music from a very young age. When he was 10 years old, he decided to form a trio: Los Panchitos, together with his brothers Jorge and Javier. He chose this name because of his admiration for Los Panchos and because they could play guitar, same with the adult group.

Thus, they managed to appear in some places and reached the cinema with small participations starring Manolo Fábregas and Marga López.
