Motorola’s Android 11 rollout is finally starting with a mid-range

Motorola’s Android 11 update started with a budget phone, not a flagship phone: the Moto G Pro. If the name does not ring, it is probably because the handset is known as the Moto G Stylus in some markets, such as the US. As you probably already know, Android 11 offers new privacy settings, easier ways to manage calls, and streamlined control of connected devices.

The rollout has been staggered and it appears that it is currently limited to those in the UK. The update itself weighs 1103.8 MB and also brings the January 2021 security patch. If you haven’t received a notification yet, you can try to manually check for the update by going to the System Updates menu in Settings.

Even though the Moto G Pro and G Stylus are fairly identical, the latter is not part of the Android One program, so it may take a while for the update to reach the device. The company isn’t the fastest when it comes to OS updates as evidenced by the fact that it’s affordable One macro has only recently been updated to Android 10,
