Mortal Kombat and Injustice fans are sent into speculative madness after a tweet from NRS developer

A new tweet from a developer from NetherRealm Studios features Mortal Kombat and Injustice fans go crazy with speculation. Since its release Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate NetherRealm Studios was quiet in November. In place of this silence, there are rumors and “leaks” that indicate that more DLC characters are coming to the aforementioned game this year, but at the moment these are just rumors and leaks. Meanwhile, there is reason to believe Injustice 3 will be revealed (and released) very soon. In other words, hype is building and recently, senior animator of the game, Andy Senesac took advantage of this hype with a new teasing Twitter post.

Senesac took to Twitter this week and revealed that he and the team are back in the motion capture studio to dust off the equipment after the pandemic kept them out of the studio for months. He uses #WhatsInStore, followed by a thinking emoji. Of course, the combination of these two things drove both Injustice and Mortal Kombat fans down a rabbit hole of speculation.

Obviously, Senesac is teasing something here, but there’s no real indication of what he’s teasing. Some Mortal Kombat fans have pointed out that Senesac has a Mortal Kombat shirt, which in turn suggests that it is MK related, but this is a pretty big piece.

Of course, it is quite possible that this is neither for injustice 3 or Mortal Kombat 11 DLC characters, but a little less exciting, like Mortal Kombat 11 movie skins.

Unfortunately, we are now in the same boat as Mortal Kombat and Injustice fans, which means we have nothing more than speculation.
