More than anything else in Monster Hunter Rise, I just want to dress up my Palamute

Dog fashion has become my driving force

Monster Hunter Rise is now a video game about creating the most beautiful armor for my Palamute.

Forget my Switch Ax, forget the grind, forget the thrill of chasing with strangers – my dog needs to look fresh. Just one problem: there are too many good choices and I’m never going to settle for a single look. I eventually got over that analysis paralysis with my Palico in it World, but this will be even more difficult.

A Palamute armor to round up popped up on my Twitter feed this week and I haven’t been able to shake it. Capcom has one similar summary last November – it didn’t surprise me. This gear, on the other hand …

This is what it’s all about. This is worthy of a half-covered Do it For Her plaque. Watch the price.

Like many of you, I started playing the demo, even though I was pretty sure I would enjoy this game as is. I love RiseThe whole atmosphere comes more than expected from the big and daring Iceborne, which works better for me and loads faster than ever now that I’ve ported it to PlayStation 5. There was definitely an adjustment period – Capcom had to trade off with Switch – but it’s nothing I couldn’t adjust during the demo, and that potential concern is no longer in the back of my mind.

Instead, my head is completely filled with these Palamute sets, not to mention the crossovers Capcom could and should make. I didn’t expect a Palamute to wear a tie, but if that’s the starting point, as it were, just imagine where the following things could go. There are still plenty of samples to confirm Rise.

I will continually brutalize every last of these beasts for my dog. That’s the real end game.
