JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – More than two dozen windows have broken at the United States Post Office Monument Station on Fort Caroline Road and shards of glass remain scattered outside the building.
Almost every window is broken @USPS on Fort Caroline Rd. Glass is shattered. A glass door is broken and looks big enough for someone to fit in. Unclear if vandals escaped with something. There is a sign saying you can visit our post offices on Merrill Rd / Beach Blvd. @ wjxt4 pic.twitter.com/Jkh49dJe3r

A glass door is broken big enough that someone could fit in.
After breaking, it looks like the vandals have entered the building because glass has also broken from the inside. It is not known if they got away with anything.
The door was taped and a sign directs customers to two other post office locations, but no police officers were guarding the unsecured building.
A contractor was seen laying the windows and saying that News4Jax crews will be installing plywood at some point today to replace the broken windows.
Data from the JSO shows that agents at the post office responded at 8 p.m. on Wednesday for vandalism.
