Álvaro de Bazán
For its part, the Navy will provide the frigate Álvaro de Bazán, integrated into the 31st Surface Squadron and based on Ferrol’s military arsenal. It’s a frigate type F-100, specially designed for anti-aircraft defense, the main missions of which currently include the escort of naval units and the air defense of its area of influence, very remarkable thanks to its multi-function radar SPY 1-D.
