Monster Hunter fans have a date with newly hatched baby Rathalos on July 9, when Capcom launches Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin for the Nintendo Switch and Steam
The original Monster Hunter Stories Released for Nintendo 3DS in 2016, it offered players a new way to interact with the series’ mighty creatures. Rather than hunt and kill, players steal monster eggs and befriend monsters, which they use to engage in turn-based battles. It’s actually a relaxing Monster Hunter game. Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin cast players as the descendant of a legendary monster rider who, together with their own baby dragon friend, must solve the mystery of the disappearance of the world’s dragon-like Rathalos. You can watch the new trailer after 30 minutes in the video from Capcom’s streaming Monster Hunter event from earlier this morning.
I look forward to another more single player focused Monster Hunter experience. Almost as much as I’m looking forward to the Tsukino Amiibo figure that comes with the release.
