The MLS, who reopened negotiations in December due to the context of uncertainty that continues to cause the pandemic to spread, said his proposal to the players includes 100% pay of wages in 2021 in exchange for an extension of the current employment contract by two years, until 2027.
That extension would allow the league and teams to be a part of the losses in 2021 due to the pandemic and would provide stability for future investment in competition, noted the MLS.
