The former vice president’s swearing-in comes a fortnight after an attack on the Capitol by “domestic terrorists” and supporters of Donald Trump, while the final certification of the November election election took place.
Just hours after taking power, Biden — along with his wife Jill Biden — attended Mass at St. Matthew the Apostle Cathedral in Washington, DC. Biden’s inauguration starts around 1:00 PM.
