HERMOSILLO, Sonora-. At 6.05 pm this Friday the “Play Ball” was sung in the Sonora Stadium for the first match of the final between Naranjeros de Hermosillo and Tomateros de Culiacán.
First entry: Naranjeros took the lead from the start of the game, with an unstoppable by Norberto Obeso, a sacrifice bunt by José Cardona, an RBI-double by Yadiel Hernández, a hit by Isaac Paredes and a busy RBI ball by Víctor Mendoza.
Fourth entry: With a 2-0 lead, Norberto Obeso flied out in left field to avoid a hit by Joey Meneses.
Eighth entry: Ryan Verdugo came off the mound and left the game winning, after throwing seven complete scoreless innings and striking out four batters. Robinson replaced Leyer and did not allow a hit or run.
Ninth entry: Fernando Salas saved the match, but gave up a point for Tomateros, produced by Efrén Navarro. Isaac Paredes flied out at third base to get the 27th out and the first win.
