Panama’s Ministry of Health clarified this Monday that people who require emergency medical care or undergo a test for COVID-19 can do so on any day regardless of gender or ID number.
From today until January 14, a total quarantine began in the provinces of Panama and Panama Oeste, limiting mobility to specific days and hours, based on gender and last ID or passport number. This measure aims to reduce the number of people on the street and thus minimize the risk of contamination with COVID-19, but as explained by the Minsa, this limitation does not apply to the care described above.
Previously, there was confusion in the Pap smear centers due to the fact that there were men waiting for their samples to be taken and told they would not be treated as as determined by the Minsa, on Monday only mobility is allowed for Ladies .
