A Colombian in custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) He died in a Texas hospital on Monday night. He is the fourth immigrant die in custody by this agency so far in fiscal year 2021 (which began on October 1), as reported by federal authorities on Wednesday.

The agency detailed that in a statement to Efe Diego Fernando Gallego Agudelo, 45, died on the night of March 15 in the Valley Baptist Medical Center (VBMC)and Harlingen, Texas.
The immigrant was detained by Immigration on March 2 after entering illegally. undocumented to the United States near Hidalgo, Texas. On March 3, he was transferred to the Port Isabel Detention Center (PIDC) in Los Fresnos, Texas.
Gallego Agudelo has been hospitalized since March 6. The Colombian’s causes of death are not clear, or if he was infected with the corona virus. The agency has not detailed the information. The ICE notified its own Office of Professional Responsibility and the Office of the Inspector General of the Department of Homeland Security of the death.

This is the fourth immigrant in ICE custody to die in fiscal year 2021 and the third to die since the president Joe Biden arrived at the White House on January 20.
