Microsoft Teams is one of the more popular alternatives to the Zoom video conferencing app, with 115 million daily active users. Microsoft reported a 50% increase in user numbers in October, reflecting the industry’s tremendous growth in the past year as the coronavirus pandemic forced people to connect with colleagues, family, friends and colleagues via video chat services.
Microsoft did not immediately respond to a request for comment about the cause of the outage and when it was expected to be resolved.
