Mick Jagger nails the problem with anti-Vaxxers: ‘rational thinking doesn’t work’

Rock legend Mick Jagger released a surprising new single on Tuesday featuring Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl tearing into conspiracy theorists and anti-vaxxers.

In “Eazy Sleazy,” the Rolling Stones frontman promises:

Shoot the vaccine
Bill Gates is in my bloodstream
It’s mind control
The earth is flat and cold
It never heats up
The North Pole has turned to mud
The second coming is late
There are aliens in the deep state

Jagger told Rolling Stone magazine that the verse was “a pissed-off look at conspiracy theories” and was touted in anti-vaxxers as “irrational.”

“Of course it makes no sense to talk to people about it. They don’t get it, ”he said. “They have what they believe in and they believe in it. And no matter what you say, they will believe it. And rational thinking doesn’t work. ”

Jagger noted that he himself had been vaccinated.
