Metro Health will make 30,000 COVID-19 vaccine appointments available Thursday

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Metropolitan Health District will make 30,000 Pfizer vaccine appointments for the first dose available starting Thursday 7pm.

Residents can sign up for an appointment at the Metro Health COVID-19 vaccine registry website.

People without Internet access can call COVID Hotline Customer Service 311 on weekdays from 08:00 to 17:00 and on weekends from 08:00 to 12:00.

According to a press release, all appointments are scheduled from April 6 to May 1 at the Alamodome.

Individuals who decide to sign up for the City of San Antonio’s SMS Alert System can text VACCINE up to 55000 or in Spanish VACUNA up to 55000By signing up, they will receive an SMS with the locations where appointments are available. If you opt for this SMS alert system, you will not be signed up for a vaccine and you will not be placed on a waiting list. This is an additional method of informing the community when new appointments are available. Currently there are reports for the Alamodome, Wonderland of the Americas operated by University Health, UT Health San Antonio and WellMed.
