Mel joins Cristina Eustace in her promotional theme

“Where is love going”, “I’m going to miss” and “The top of the sky” are songs that have entered the musical memory of those who love romantic lyrics in Spanish, especially ballads. Now these three well-known titles from the repertoire of the Venezuelan singer Ricardo Montaner appear again under one single, “Tríptico al amor”, performed in duet by the Puerto Rican Mel and the Mexican Cristina Eustace (Objective fama, 2008).

The potpourri, produced by Luis Salazar, is part of the singer-songwriter album “Con las que yo grow”, the second single in promotion. The first was “If you not”, a “modern” version of the text popularized by the Menudo group, but it was not heard on the island because its launch coincided with the rise of the pandemic.

“This song (Triptych to love) was put on the shelf and then I took it out of the studio, and I said, ‘Until I find someone to do the song, I’m not going to do anything,'” Mel said of what preceded it. the invitation to Cristina Eustace, with whom he has a friendship and professional relationship in Mexico, to join him. “Cristina gives that different flavor to the song,” he added.

For the interpreter, the duo marks a return to the interpretation of pop ballads, with which she started her artistic career. His repertoire then focused on regional Mexican music, the dominant genre in his repertoire.

“I think we all have these songs in our bones,” he said of the familiar titles in Montaner’s voice. So it’s really easy. I’ve always loved to sing ballads, ”she said, who will soon be presenting a new album with musical arrangements that will also take her away from the traditional music of her country.

“Triptych to Love” has already been presented in Mexico and Miami, Florida. The single contains a video that captures the atmosphere and dynamics of the recording between the two artists.

After this release, Mel will premiere two previously unreleased tracks, “Perdóname” and “Vuélveme a quiero”.
