Meghan Markle says the royal family had ‘concerns’ about the son’s skin color

Meghan Markle revealed on Sunday evening that members of the royal family discussed with Prince Harry just how dark their son’s skin could be.

“There were also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he was born,” said Markle in her telling Oprah interview.

She alleged that “several” members of the royal family had discussions with Harry about Archie’s possible skin color.

When asked about the conversation later in the interview, Harry declined to explain much more.

“I’m never going to share that conversation, but it was awkward at the time, I was a little shocked,” he said.

But he was satisfied that the discussion about “what will the children look like” came “at the beginning” of their relationship.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s first child, Archie, was born in May 2019.

The Sussexes are expecting their second child and have revealed that it will be a girl on Sunday night.
