Meghan Markle resolves controversy over privacy issues

London. Meghan Markle settled a dispute with Splash News And Picture Agency in a UK court for violation of her privacy, agreeing that the agency will no longer take photos of her or her husband, Prince Harry.

Queen Elizabeth II’s 39-year-old daughter-in-law had filed a lawsuit against the aforementioned snapshot agency last March this year, while in Canada, of her, her husband and their son, Archie.

As the court reported on Friday, Markle resolved the dispute after the agency agreed that it will no longer take photos if it comes out of the bankruptcy situation in which it is found.

Jenny Afia, a lawyer for Prince Henry’s wife, said in a virtual hearing that Splash UK went bankrupt on July 1, after the lawsuit was filed.

Given the bankruptcy, the parties have agreed to resolve the dispute against Splash UK. Splash UK’s directors have pledged that if the company goes bankrupt, Splash UK will not take pictures of the Duke and Duchess or their son in the future, ”said the lawyer.

At the end of the hearing, a spokesman for the Schillings law firm, the couple’s legal representatives, said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had “successfully” resolved a legal claim against the British Splash agency’s “paparazzi”.

“This resolution – he adds – is a clear sign that illegal, invasive and intrusive behavior will not be tolerated and that the couple are taking these matters very seriously.”

Earlier this year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the parents of 19-month-old Archie, decided to leave the British monarchy to settle in the United States, in a case known as ‘Megaexit’.
